About DFREE® Global Foundation

The DFREE® Global Foundation, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization established in 2012 to advance financial wellness, economic empowerment, and self-sufficiency in underserved communities. As the philanthropic arm of the DFREE® Financial Freedom Movement, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity committed to helping families achieve financial freedom.

Through strategic partnerships, high-impact events and community-based initiatives, the DFREE® Global Foundation provides free products and services to advance economic empowerment and financial freedom. The Foundation operates under the guidance of a distinguished volunteer Board of Directors committed to governance excellence and mission-driven impact.

DFREE® Global Foundation in Africa

The DFREE® Global Foundation is deeply committed to advancing financial literacy, leadership development, and community empowerment across the African continent through strategic partnerships and targeted investments.

South Africa

In collaboration with the Baptist Convention of South Africa, the Foundation has been adopted as the national financial empowerment program for its congregations. The Foundation supports these efforts and also provides ongoing support to the Convention’s affiliated college, helping to strengthen the educational pipeline for future leaders.

Liberia

The Foundation has trained and equipped seminary students with DFREE® books and workbooks, empowering emerging faith leaders to promote financial responsibility and economic independence within their communities.

Ghana

The Foundation has sponsored multiple community development initiatives, including:

The establishment of a public library at the Danqua Center to increase access to educational resources
The Queen Mother’s HIV/AIDS outreach and care program
Installation of eco-friendly micro-flush sanitation units, enhancing public health and hygiene in underserved areas.

Community Campaigns

The DFREE® Global Foundation supports dynamic, community-wide campaigns that unite churches, civic groups, and local organizations to implement synchronized DFREE® financial empowerment programs.

These campaigns are designed to create a collective impact by promoting shared learning, mutual accountability, and community celebration.

These campaigns are structured to include a coordinated launch, weekly program delivery across multiple sites, and a culminating graduation event that honors participants’ achievements and reinforces a culture of financial transformation.

Inaugural campaign “Newark Women Moving Forward”

The inaugural campaign “Newark Women Moving Forward” was launched in 2024–2025 under the leadership of Newark, New Jersey First Lady Linda Baraka. This groundbreaking initiative mobilized women across the city to reclaim financial control, reduce debt, and build economic resilience through faith-based and community-rooted collaboration.

By scaling these campaigns across cities and regions, the Foundation fosters grassroots momentum that inspires long-term financial behavior change and strengthens the economic foundation of entire communities.

Billion Dollar Challenge

The Billion Dollar Challenge (BDC) is a groundbreaking digital initiative powered by the DFREE® Global Foundation that empowers individuals and organizations to collectively reduce consumer debt and build savings. Hosted on an interactive online platform, participants set personalized financial goals, track their progress, and engage in a supportive community committed to long-term financial wellness.

By combining technology, behavioral motivation, and community accountability, the Billion Dollar Challenge provides measurable outcomes for individuals, families, and institutions. Participants receive access to goal-setting tools, progress dashboards, and peer encouragement – making financial freedom both visible and achievable.

DFREE® Foundation Scholarship Commitment

FinFe$t®: Where Wealth Meets Wellness

FinFe$t® is the DFREE® Global Foundation’s signature community empowerment event – an immersive, high-impact experience that merges financial education with physical and mental wellness. This free, family-friendly festival combines the energy of live entertainment with the depth of expert-led workshops, resource-rich exhibits, and inspiring real-life success stories.
